I'm a huge fan of rap & hip-hop, primarily the old-school stuff. Recently, I've become very interested in the actual creation of these songs, mainly the creation of the beats/instrumentals.
A significant foundation of hip-hop has been using recordings of previous music as samples and using them to create beats. I find this so cool—using music from an earlier time and turning it into something completely new.
So, I decided to learn the art of creating rap beats and am documenting my journey on my music channel.
While this journey started on June 13th, I decided to seriously commit time to it on September 5, 2024 by starting a series where I create a beat every day, uploading a short video daily.
So far, just 18 days in (the day I'm writing this is September 23rd), I have had a massive amount of growth for a small YouTube channel basically just starting up.
I'm learning the importance of having a consistent schedule and not being discouraged even if a video doesn't do well. If you consistently create content, stuff will stick, and slowly but surely, you will grow
