During the Summer of 2024, from June to August, I had the privilege of being a communications intern for the Beaverton School District.
As a communications intern, I was tasked with taking photos and videos of construction and events, editing those photos and videos, and then creating social media posts to keep the community updated about ongoings within the district.

Currently I am the video editor for the Corvallis Music Instagram page.
As the video editor I have had the privilege of assisting with interviewing local music artists around Corvallis, recording the footage, and then editing the interview to make a quick and engaging reel to spread awareness about local artists.

When I was a young lad in my senior year of high school from 2023-2024, I was the Senior Representative in my school's student government. During that time, I took it upon myself to create videos to advertise and market the school's events and fundraisers. These videos were then posted on the school's Instagram page and presented to classes!
As a note, these videos aren't exactly the highest quality, the footage is all shot on a phone and the editing is pretty shitty with with cheesy effects. Now, you may ask, why is that? Well, that's my marketing trick: I know audiences and what will attract them; in this instance, my audience is high school teenagers who hate seeing generic professional ads; there's nothing that pulls them in or sparks interest. But if they see the infamous Malachi Choi doing dumb stuff with dumb editing? They're going to love it.

I'm a huge fan of rap & hip-hop, primarily the old-school stuff. Recently, I've become very interested in the actual creation of these songs, mainly the creation of the beats/instrumentals.
A significant foundation of hip-hop has been using recordings of previous music as samples and using them to create beats. I find this so cool—using music from an earlier time and turning it into something completely new.
So, I decided to learn the art of creating rap beats and am documenting my journey on my music channel.
