This is the first video I created for the Beaverton School District. The goal was to make a video that gave an update about the construction of Beaverton High School. The process started with interviewing the construction project manager, during which I set up the camera and asked questions about various aspects of the school's construction.Â
After the interview, I toured the construction site, gathering as much footage as possible. I made sure to capture a variety of shots—wide, medium, and close-ups—while also focusing on different subjects to keep the visuals dynamic.
Once I had all the footage, I started the editing. I cleaned up the interview by cutting out my questions and any mistakes, then layered the video footage over it. The result was a polished video with compelling visuals and audio that effectively communicated the progress of the school's construction.
This video was different from my previous one as I did not conduct the interview or shoot any of the video footage, so I had no control over the video footage I had. What they gave me is what I had to work with. This constricted me a bit as it helps to take your own video footage with a story in mind.
Despite that though, again I was able to create another update video. Cleaning up the interview by cutting out the questions and mistakes, then layered the video footage over it.
I apologize if these embed links show up as broken, the Corvallis Music account doesn't have official embeds enabled so whenever Instagram has a small update these embeds break. The links should still work however!
